Who We Are:

We are an independent, privately-operated provider of consumer healthcare information. From, you can shop and compare marketplace plans (i.e., the same plans available on and other state-based exchanges), as well as qualified health plans (as defined by the ACA) offered by insurance carriers. We do not actually sell or enroll you in health plans ourselves, but work with licensed entities who do.

What if I Need a Subsidy?

Our website helps you calculate if you are eligible for a subsidy. We provide only an estimate since you only officially calculate and apply for a subsidy at the time you purchase a plan. Open Enrollment Ends January 31

In order to have health coverage for the 2017 calendar year, you must enroll by January 31. Even if you signed-up during the last Open Enrollment Period, you must renew your plan or get a new one.

If you miss this current Open Enrollment Period, you will not be able to obtain a Government Health Plan until 2018.

The only exception is if you have a Qualifying Life Event -- such as a marriage/divorce, birth/adoption of a new child, job/employment status change, or certain other major life changes -- which allows you to enroll outside of Open Enrollment.

If you miss the Open Enrollment Period and do not have a Qualifying Life Event, you can enroll in a Non-Government-Plan. These plans are meant to be temporary, and have certain limitations. Learn more about them here.

Government Health Plans

Government Health Plans are those created and mandated by the Affordable Care Act. You cannot be denied for coverage, even if you have preexisting medical conditions. You also cannot be dropped from coverage if you have a major illness and become too costly to insure.

All Government Health Plans provide coverage for the same essential medical services. Such services include emergency care/hospitalization, preventative care, maternity/pediatric care, mental health services, lab work, prescription drugs and more. The differences among plans are their cost.

The Affordable Care Act was designed to make healthcare accessible to all. If you meet certain income and household thresholds, you could qualify for a Government Subsidy, which can substantially reduce the amount you pay. Learn more about Government Plans here.
